4 Slumber Party Ideas to Rock Your Kiddos World

Sleepovers were one of my favorite things to do when I was little. I remember there were the sleepovers where the parents just ordered pizza and stuck a move in the VCR (remember those things) and that was the extent of the festivities. Then there where the sleepovers at my house where my mom planned out the perfect night filled with snacks, activities and crafts. I am sure she spent hours slaving and planning but lets be real, in today's crazy world, time is not on your side. Check out a few ideas that are quick and will keep the kiddos entertained and make you the master of slumber parties!

1. Skip the pizza and feed them healthy fun shaped snacks. Use cookie cutters to punch out bread shapes and fill the sandwiches with peanut butter & jelly, bananas and peanut butter, cheese, cucumbers, etc. Make trees out of apples and pretzel rods, stamp shapes out of cantaloupe and watermelon, make spiders with Ritz Crackers, peanut butter and pretzels, chocolate and sprinkle dipped banana pops and create monster mouths with apples, peanut butter and marshmallows.

2. Have the kids make a craft that will entertain them through out the night. Decorate Dollar Store flash lights with washi tape and stickers and then create cut out shadow shades to make fun images on the wall. To make it super easy give the kids punch shapes and stencils. After they are done making them they now have something to play with- 2 for 1!

3. Before starting the movie let the kiddos use their creative minds to mix up their own flavors of popcorn. Give them popcorn bags (10 bags for $1 at the Dollar Store) with chalkboard stickers on them to write the name of their creation. Load up the popcorn station with different flavors of popcorn and fun toppings like twizzlers, m&m's, chips, sprinkles, pretzels, chocolate chips, raisins, gummy bears and more!

4. If you are feeling really creative you can make them slumber party tents! How fun are these simple A-Frame tents. 5. Don't let the fun stop in the morning, serve them a creative treat and get their brain power flowing with a breakfast themed wordsearch. We filled these cute Dollar Store milk bottles with milk, a paper straw and mini donut!
